Is there a Strava for motorcycles?
Strava has no motorcycle activity type, and motorcycle rides are excluded from its segment leaderboards. If you ride a motorcycle, Strava will not give you what it gives cyclists — a record of every ride that adds up over a season.
Roveri is a motorcycle-specific answer: an iOS riding journal that records the route, speed, elevation, and weather of every ride, and keeps them as a season you can re-open.
What Strava’s rules actually say
Strava’s Supported Sport Types page lists foot sports, cycle sports, water sports, and winter sports — and no motorcycle among them. Its Segment Leaderboard Guidelines are more direct: “Please note that motorcycle activities are not allowed on Strava, and cannot use the Ride or E-Bike activity types.” So a motorcycle ride logged under the bicycle Ride type is excluded from the segment leaderboards those types feed — and your motorcycle speeds would read oddly among cycling data anyway.
Why riders keep asking anyway
Motorcyclists want what Strava gives cyclists — a running record of every ride, mile, and climb over a season. Adding a motorcycle activity type is a standing request in Strava’s own Community Hub, up-voted by riders for years. As of July 2026 it has not shipped.

It records the GPS route, live speed, and elevation of each ride, and adds up to eight weather samples along the route when you end it. Open any ride and trace it painted by speed or by the elevation you climbed. Paused time is left out of the moving total, and a pause draws no straight line across the map — the track is segmented, so a stop reads as a stop.
